Dear HPC,
I used to run a shiny app from a RStudio server through openondemand without any issue but today when I tried I got:
403 Forbidden: incorrect proxy service was requested
The webserver reported that an error occurred while trying to access the website. Please return to the previous page.
URL: http://localhost:3746/
Have you increased security? Is it linked to the new version of openondemand?
I am available for a zoom if you want to debug live.
Best,
Lucille
Hi, on which cluster?
For my understanding:
You open Rstudio on OOD. Then you launch a shiny app on Rstudio. How do you access this app then? From a web browser outside of the cluster?
Hi,
On bamboo but I do not think it is cluster dependent. When I run the shiny app it opens it in a new window of the same browser. The issue seems to be linked to the new http_proxy env variable. When running the rstudio singularity with --env http_proxy="" --env https_proxy="" the shiny app works as before.
I have not yet found a way to disable the http_proxy variable only when displaying the shinyapp…
Hello @Lucille.Delisle1
Yes it is
. It depend how the cluster is connected to the unige network and yet we still have some differences between the clusters
.
I have applied an updated configuration on Bamboo to set the variable no_proxy.
no_proxy=localhost,127.0.0.1,unige.ch,.bamboo
Can you give a try without unsetting http_proxy in your apptainer conf and let us know if this does work?
Hi Yann,
Thank you so much it is fixed on bamboo. It works on baobab and I think the same config need to be done on yggdrasil to make it work.
Best,
