Dear HPC Users,
We would like to inform you that the BeeGFS scratch directory is nearing its capacity, with only 49GB of space remaining.
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
beegfs_scratch 1.5P 1.5P 49G 100% /srv/beegfs/scratch
As you know, the scratch directory is a temporary space intended for short-term use and large-scale computations. It is crucial that everyone ensures they are using this space appropriately. (Storage at Unige)
What You Can Do:
Please take a moment to:
- Delete any unnecessary or old files that are no longer needed.
- Move any large, important data to long-term storage solutions if itβs no longer actively in use.
Why This Matters:
- A full scratch directory can cause performance losses, delays and disruptions to your workflow and that of other users.
- Keeping the scratch directory clean ensures that sufficient space is available for all users when running jobs that require temporary storage.
We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out.
Thank you for your cooperation!
Best regards,
β
HPC Team
