How to force stopping a running job?

Hello, skill Job-ID is no longer working. It doesn’t show any error but the job keep running. Thanks for help.

I neved heard about skill but according to the description:

DESCRIPTION
These tools are obsolete and unportable. The command syntax is poorly defined. Consider using the killall, pkill, and pgrep commands instead.

Anyway, if your job is running on a compute node (as this must be the case) and you are launching this command from the login node, there is no chance that this will work.

The commande you are looking for is scancel. hpc:slurm [eResearch Doc]
