Ssh: Could not resolve hostname baobab2.unige.ch

Hi,

Having problem ssh to baobab, but get the following error:
ssh: Could not resolve hostname baobab2.unige.ch: nodename nor servname provided, or not known

Is the machine down?

Hello Azadeh,

The address “baobab2.unige.ch” was still working until yesterday to give a transition time. As announced last year (Baobab migration from CentOS6 to CentOS7), the “new” address to connect is : baobab2.hpc.unige.ch

Please check with the new one and everything should work. Any ongoing job won’t be affected.

Thanks, yes the new address works. I wasnt aware of the migration to the new address.
