Hello I would like to use some more recent plugins in vim that require 7.4+ built version.
I can compile it from source and add in ~/.bashrc the binary but I wanted to ask if someone tried it already and faced problems.

Since we moved to CentOS 7 (cf. Baobab migration from CentOS6 to CentOS7 ), Vim is already at version 7.4:
