What is the maximum number of memory we can ask for?

We had a question about the maximum memory we can ask, e.g from the bigmem partition.

In the documentation, it’s written that servers on the bigmem can have 500GB/CPU. Does this mean I can ask for 8TB with 16 processors/threads?

Is there something like a max /optimal number of processors to ask for each queue?

Hi, in the documentation it is only a recommendation.

The biggest (in term of memory) nodes we have on the cluster have 1.5TB of RAM.

If you need to use the whole memory for one core, this is possible even if this will prevent other users to use the free cores as no free memory will remains.
